In order to offer you an optimal gaming experience, we need to process personal data at various points. We collect as little personal data as possible.

Scope of Application

This privacy policy applies to the apps, shops, websites and related services of Bestjack Entertainment GmbH.
It may be updated by us at any time by publishing a new version.
In the event of significant changes, we will inform you by means of a notice within the respective service before the changes take effect. The continued use of the respective service is subject to the new privacy policy after it comes into effect.

What data do we process and why?

Download and in-app purchases

We do not collect any personal data in our apps in connection with downloading the app from an app store or using in-app purchases. This data, in particular data relating to electronic payment processing, is collected exclusively by the respective app store. Please note the privacy policies of the stores when using them:

The legal basis for processing is the fulfilment of the app usage agreement with the respective app store.

Would you like to have your data deleted? To do so, please contact the store from which you downloaded or purchased the app directly.

 

Data that you provide to us directly

    • Contact details

    • Player name or player abbreviation

    • Your messages and other content that you transmit while using the service

    • Data you provide in connection with surveys, promotions, prize draws, competitions and other events

Purpose: Provision and management of your account, improvement of the gaming experience and processing of enquiries.

Automatically collected data

  • Device information: model, operating system, IP address, system language.

  • Usage data: game progress, crash reports, app settings.

  • Advertising IDs and pseudonymised identifiers for the provision of personalised advertising.

Purpose: Analysis and improvement of our services, troubleshooting, provision of relevant advertising.

Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and software development kits (SDKs) to analyse your user behaviour, personalise content and provide advertising.

Login details for the online game

To log in to our online gaming server, you can use one of our integrated external authentication mechanisms such as GameCenter, Facebook or Google Login (opt-in). This allows us to provide you with your user data (profile, friends, game history) regardless of the device you are using. The prerequisite is that you already have a user account with one of these providers. When you log in to our app via one of these providers, our app gains access to your public profile.

The legal basis is your consent through actively selecting an external authentication mechanism.

We apply the principle of ‘privacy by design’: our applications do not generate, transmit or store any passwords from these third-party providers. This is done directly by the third-party providers.
We only use the authentication mechanism. We do not request any further data from your profile (such as name, friends, etc.).

How can I remove the link? You can remove the link at any time in the settings of the external authentication mechanism provider.

Sharing content

We enable you to invite friends to play online games and inform third parties about your achievements, e.g. by email or on social networks (opt-in). When you click on the ‘Send’ button in our application, the data is transmitted in text form to an application of your choice, e.g. an email programme.

The legal basis is your consent to data export by actively selecting an export option (opt-in).

We apply the principle of ‘privacy by design’: you have full control over your data within the functions of the application of your choice. For example, in an email programme, you can check and edit the text we send before sending it. You alone are responsible for sending it to your selected recipients outside of our application. We have no access to the recipient’s data.

How can I delete my data? We do not store data exported in text form.

Notifications

We offer to notify you of new friend requests via push notifications. To use this service, you must confirm it when prompted by the app or activate it in your device settings (opt-in). We then store a push token on our online game server. This token is required to send the push notification to your device via Apple or Google.

The legal basis is your active consent (opt-in) to receive push notifications.

Technical measures: All communication for push notifications is encrypted via SSL.

How can I withdraw my consent? You can withdraw your consent at any time in the system settings of your operating system.

Advertisement

We offer our apps to end customers free of charge and finance ourselves through advertising in the app. Advertising is part of the product.

We use pseudonymised device identifiers in these apps to optimise and personalise advertising for you. We will inform you of this in the app before you start using it.

We also share these identifiers, including information about your device, with our partners for advertising and analytics purposes. Our partners may combine this information with other data you have provided to them or that they have already collected as part of your use of the Services.

The legal basis is your consent, which consists of your active confirmation that you have read and understood this information.

You can object to the use of the advertising ID generated by the device on your device. This will not reduce the number of advertisements you see, but they will be less based on your usage behaviour and are likely to be less relevant to you.

To disable the device-side transmission of the advertising ID, select ‘Advertising’ under Settings/Privacy on iOS devices (Apple) and activate ‘No ad tracking’.
On Android devices, go to Settings/Account/Google/Advertising and activate ‘Disable interest-based advertising’.

How can you request the deletion of your data? If you would like us to delete your data, please send us a message via one of the communication channels we offer.

Data security

We protect your data by:

  • SSL encryption for data transfers.

  • Storage on secure servers within the EU.

  • Pseudonymisation and minimisation of data.

Data deletion in the app

To delete your online profile:
  1. Open the app and navigate to ‘Settings

  2. Select “Delete profile”.
    Please note that this action cannot be undone.

Error reports

We would appreciate your help in improving our apps. To do so, you can send us a message from within the app to report any errors. In this case, the app will send a message containing the information relevant for processing, such as the current game situation.

The legal basis is your active submission of an error report.

We use the data you provide exclusively for troubleshooting and improving our applications. If you have provided an email address, we may use it to contact you with questions about the problem you have reported.

We apply the principle of ‘built-in data protection’: you can check the content of the message before sending it.

How can I delete my data? If you would like us to delete your bug reports, please send us a message via one of the communication channels we offer.

 

Operation, safety, quality assurance and improvement

For the purposes of provision, proper operation, maintenance, quality assurance, security, optimisation and improvement of our offerings, as well as the development of new offerings, we collect usage data in pseudonymised form in the technical systems used to operate our offerings. Personal data, such as IP addresses, which may be contained in log files for technical reasons, are not evaluated by us unless they are absolutely necessary to solve a specific technical problem.

The legal basis is our obligation to fulfil the app usage agreement and, where applicable, the agreement on the use of our online services, to enable the proper use of our services, as well as our legitimate interest in ensuring the quality of our services and continuously optimising and improving them.

    1. In our apps: Pseudonymised data on frequency and duration of use, game results, active app settings, etc. This data is logged by third-party providers such as Apple and Google and aggregated and anonymised for statistical analysis. It is no longer possible to assign the collected data to a specific person. If one of our apps crashes, it sends us an error log provided by the respective operating system, provided you have allowed this in your operating system settings (opt-in).
    2. Online gaming servers: Access to our online gaming servers is logged in log files.
    3. Website: Visits to our website are logged using Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’ for this purpose. We do not use advertising services on our website. Please also note Google’s privacy policy regarding Google Analytics:

    4. Internet service providers: Internet service providers’ log files record access to their systems.

App AI technology

We use a rule-based expert system based on predefined decision rules and technical logic – not generative artificial intelligence. This ensures that the results are traceable, consistent, specifically tailored to our use cases and compliant with data protection regulations – particularly with regard to compliance with applicable data protection requirements such as the GDPR.

App permissions

In order to achieve the above objectives, our applications require the following permissions. Your operating system will inform you which permissions are active.

    • TCP/IP network connections to the Internet (INTERNET)

    • Android only: Check whether the app was legally downloaded from the Play Store (com.android.vending.CHECK_LICENSE)

    • Android only: Check whether a network connection is possible (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE)

    • Android only: Saving user images (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)

    • Android only: Access to WiFi status (ACCESS_WIFI_STATE) for targeted advertising

    • Optional, iOS only (opt-in): Access to your calendar to display targeted advertising. (Before access is granted, a prompt will appear that you can decline.)

How can I withdraw my consent? You can withdraw your consent at any time in the system settings of your operating system.

Transmission of data to partners

We only pass on your data to our partners for the fulfilment of the above-mentioned purposes. We and our partners will treat your personal data confidentially in accordance with data protection regulations.

Data transfer to third countries

We endeavour to store your data preferably within the EU. Many of our partners are based in the USA. These partners either operate data centres in the EU or meet the requirements of the Privacy Shield agreement between the EU and the USA.

Your rights

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data concerning you. In addition, you have the right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing as well as the right to object to processing and the right to data portability.
You can revoke your consent to data processing at any time.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
